About this layout

I knew from the moment I started planning out this layout that I wanted to use the famous blood transfusion artwork of Towa. This artwork was the feature of a limited edition acrylic standee that one would obtain via the first Japanese pre-order of Slow Damage. Oh the things I'd do to get my grubby little hands on this standee. There is also currently a scale figure in the works based off of this illustration by Skytube. I love the emphasis on his scars and his delicate appearence. He looks so small and defenseless here.

I struggled to come up with an idea for the name, but eventually landed on the word "denatured". According to the Oxford Dictionary - "denaturing is the process of adding toxic or foul tasting substances to alcohol to make it unfit for consumption."

This word I felt fitted Towa very well. He was born a normal human being just like anyone else. But after years of exposure to unphathomable cruelty, he became something that struggles to consider itself human in a tragic attempt at self preservation. Towa is also a character heavily associated with alchocol.
